The Footy Social
The Footy Social was created to support men’s mental and physical wellbeing through connection, movement, and conversation.
Whether you want to play football, have a kick-about, or simply drop in for a chat, everyone is welcome. The sessions are designed to build supportive social networks that can help reduce isolation, boost confidence and self-worth, and offer a healthy distraction from rumination and negative thought patterns.
By bringing people together in a relaxed, non-judgemental environment, The Footy Social creates space to feel connected, supported, and part of something positive.

Beyond a game of footy
Once the football finishes, many of our venues offer space to stay, relax, and connect. Whether it is watching live sport, joining a quiz, or simply chatting over a drink, the sessions provide a welcoming and safe environment for genuine social interaction.
Alongside this, The Footy Social runs quarterly themed sessions throughout the year, designed to spark conversation, raise awareness, and support wellbeing beyond the pitch.
Quarterly focus themes include:
Suicide awareness and prevention
Physical health MOTs and wellbeing checks
Drug and alcohol awareness
Mental health awareness and support
