Urban Health UK was founded by Danny, a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a lifelong commitment to community support and wellbeing.

Danny’s journey began with a Diploma in Youth and Community Studies, where his passion for helping people feel heard, valued, and empowered first took shape. He later qualified and continues to practise as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, gaining extensive experience supporting individuals through complex and challenging periods in their lives.

Through his work in healthcare settings, Danny witnessed the value of professional care, structure, and therapeutic intervention. At the same time, his own lived experience of mental health challenges deepened his understanding of recovery. He recognised that healing does not only happen in clinical environments. It also happens in everyday community spaces where people feel connected, active, and supported.

That belief led to the creation of Urban Health UK, a Community Interest Company built on the principle that mental health support should be accessible, practical, and rooted in community.

As a practising Registered Mental Health Nurse, Danny brings both clinical expertise and real-world insight to this training. Importantly, income generated through corporate training is reinvested directly back into community projects, helping to sustain and grow local initiatives that support people across Merseyside.
